This form is to be used for any officials that wish to express interest in filling the role of Umpire Manager, Assistant Umpire Manager or Umpire Coach at any of the 2025 Hockey Victoria Outdoor Events. 

Expressions of interest will close at 5.00pm on Thursday, 27 February 2025 and Hockey Victoria will endeavour to inform all successful candidates of their appointments within three weeks.

WWWC Declaration

You will require a valid WWCC or exemptions to fulfil any of these roles. You will be required to have Hockey Victoria listed as an organisation that you work with under your WWCC account. If you have not done this previously, follow the WWCC info and link section in the description to find a quick link to update your account.

Experience & Accreditation - Umpire Manager, Assistant Umpire Manager & Umpire Coach Roles

Please answer the below questions to assist us when considering your expression of interest:

Availability - Umpire Manager, Assistant Umpire Manager & Umpire Coach Roles

Please select all events that you wish to be considered for and the specific role/s at that event. If there is an event that you are not available for, please then indicate this by selecting "Not available" under that specific event.

Junior Country Championships & Senior Country Championships

There will be a minimum of 1 x Umpire Manager and 1 x Assistant Umpire Manager located at each venue for the JCC & SCC and they will be required to be available for the duration of the Event.

The following gratuity payments will be made at the conclusion of the Events: SCC Umpire Managers - $450 each SCC Assistant Umpire Manager - $300 each JCC Umpire Manager - $350 each JCC Assistant Umpire Manager - $250 each

Junior State Championships

The Junior State Championships will have Under 12s (Hockey 5s), Under 14s, Under 16s and Under 18s. The event returns to Metro Victoria in 2025.

  • U12 Hockey 5s JSC: 9 - 10 July 2025 at Footscray Hockey Centre
  • U14 & U16 JSC: 11 - 13 July 2025 at SNCH Parkville and Footscray Hockey Centre
  • U18 JSC: 20 - 22 September 2025 at SNHC Parkville

2025 Umpire Managers and Assistant Umpire Managers will need to be available for all days of the Event they are appointed to. It should be noted that there are NO HV competitions on the same weekend as the JSC in 2025. The following gratuity payments will be made at the conclusion of the Event:

  • U14, U16 & U18 JSC Umpire Managers (3 day events) - $650
  • U14, U16 & U18 JSC Assistant Umpire Managers (3 day events) - $550
  • U12 JSC Umpire Managers (2 day Event) - $550
  • U12 JSC Assistant Umpire Managers (2 day Event) - $450 

Appointments will made as follows for the JSC:

  • Under 14 & Under 16 Boys (Bendigo) - 1 x UM and 2 x AUMs
  • Under 14 & Under 16 Girls (Shepparton) - 1 x UM and 2 x AUMs
  • Under 18 Boys & Girls (Bendigo) - 1 x UM and 2 x AUMs
  • Under 12 Boys & Girls (Shepparton) - 1 x UM and 2 x AUMs 

Umpire Coaches will be appointed on an as needs basis once UMs & AUMs are appointed.
