Sportway to power Hockey Victoria's livestream
Published Wed 26 Mar 2025
Hockey Victoria is excited to announce a new three-year partnership with Sportway Australia, which aims to elevate our livestreaming capabilities.
Under this agreement, Sportway will deploy its advanced suite of technology and AI broadcast cameras at select venues, across the course of the 2025 season. HV will provide further updates as venues come online and content becomes available.
This agreement will see a significant increase in the total number of matches livestreamed in comparison to previous years, as highlighted below:
-
Every match scheduled on Rev Sport that is played at a venue with a Sportway camera installed will be streamed, whether it be Premier League, other Seniors grades, Masters or Juniors. This includes Regional Association matches played at venues with the cameras.
-
All HV Events played at venues with Sportway cameras will be accessible, including:
-
All Water Partners Senior Country Championships matches in Bendigo
-
All XR Elements Junior State Championships matches played at State Netball Hockey Centre
-
All Junior Country Championships matches played at State Netball Hockey
-
All HV or Regional Association finals played at venues with the cameras installed.
Sportway have livestreamed all Hockey Australia National Championships in 2024, as well as content for several other states. This provides a tried and tested platform and gives HV confidence in the product that will be delivered.
“Hockey Victoria is delighted to embark on this exciting journey with Sportway as our broadcast partner. Together we aim to set a new standard for broadcasting hockey, ensuring fans are at the forefront” said Andrew Skillern, Hockey Victoria CEO.
Mark Hardess, CEO of Sportway Australia remarked “Through our advanced technology and AI capabilities, LiveHockey will become the ultimate destination for hockey enthusiasts, capturing the essence of each match in a way never seen before.”
