Hockey Victoria is delighted to release some key dates and further information relating to our Competitions, Events and Special Rounds for 2025.

Stand Out Cup

Date: Sunday 23rd February 2025

Location: Footscray Hockey Centre

Team entry information for this Event will be released prior to the end of this year.

Junior Country Championships

Dates: Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th May 2025

Locations:

Under 14 Boys & Girls - Essendon Hockey Centre

Under 16 Boys & Girls - Greensborough Hockey Centre

Under 18 Boys & Girls - State Netball Hockey Centre

Senior Country Championships

With the support of the City of Greater Bendigo and Hockey Central Victoria, we are delighted to be taking the 2025 Senior Country Championships to regional Victoria.

Dates: Saturday 7th to Monday 9th June 2025

Location: Bendigo Hockey Centre – all divisions

Junior State Championships

The 2025 Junior State Championships will return to metropolitan Melbourne and be conducted as follows:

Under 12 Boys & Girls Hockey5s

Wednesday 9th & Thursday 10th July at Footscray Hockey Centre

Under 14 & Under 16 Boys & Girls

Friday 11th July – Sunday 13th July at State Netball Hockey Centre & Footscray Hockey Centre (teams will play across both venues)

Under 18 Boys & Girls

Friday 19th to Sunday 21st September at State Netball Hockey Centre

JSC Nominations & Trials

Player Nominations for the 2025 Junior State Championships will open in January 2025. The Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16 trails are likely to be held on Sunday 27th April 2025. Under 18 trials are likely to be held on Sunday 20th July 2025 (please note that a small number of Zones may conduct their Under 18 trials in April to align with the trials for all other age groups. 

Women & Girls Breakfast

Date: Friday 9th May 2025

Location: To be confirmed

Further information will be released in the new year about pricing and ticket/table sales.

Men’s Health Lunch

Date: to be confirmed

Location: to be confirmed

Further information will be released in the new year about this Event.

Hockey Victoria Awards Night

The 2025 HV Awards Night will again be held following the conclusion of the 2025 Winter Competition Finals Series.

Date: Friday 19th September 2025

Location: To be confirmed

Special Rounds

The dates of the special rounds for 2025 will be as follows:

Women & Girls Round – 5th – 11th May 2025

Pride Round - 16th – 22nd June 2025

Indigenous Round – 13th – 27th July 2025

Men’s Health Round – 11th – 17th August 2025

As was the case in 2024, if you are not fixtured to play a home match across the above dates, but still wish to celebrate them you are more than welcome to do so in the week before or after the one listed above.

There will be further information released in Hock-e-Comms later this year in relation to purchasing special round medals for 2025.

HC Melbourne Home Matches

The 2025 Hockey One fixture is yet to be finalised. Once it is, further information will be distributed relating to the dates of the HC Melbourne home matches, as well as ticketing and membership information. We anticipate that it will run from approximately Friday 10th October through to Sunday 30th November.

Winter Competition Dates

League Cup

Pre-season opt-in event for Premier League & Vic League grades – Friday 14 March until Sunday 16 March. Further information will be sent directly to clubs in relation to the League Cup.

Commencing Monday 3 February 2025 – 6-week competitions exc. Labour Day Weekend

Indoor Club Championships

Term 4 Competitions

Indoor & Summer – Saturday 4 October to Tuesday 16 December
