HV community feature as finalists in Vic Sport Awards

Hockey Victoria’s community has been highlighted as finalists for the 2024 Victorian Sport Awards in three categories. The Vic Sport awards celebrate the achievements of our home-grown sporting heroes at a grassroots and high-performance level. Congratulations to Joshua Burt, Kelly Godfrey and the Junior State Championships for being selected.

Joshua Burt - Official of the Year

Josh oversaw a record number of officials at international events in 2024 and delivered FIH officiating courses in places like Singapore & India. Plus, he was a Technical Delegate for the Paris Olympics!

Kelly Godfrey - Volunteer of the Year

Kelly is a driving force at Latrobe Valley Hockey Association! Leading membership growth, embracing Hockey 5s & expanding competitive opportunities.

Junior State Championships - Community Sporting Event of the Year

Over 1,100 young Hockey stars from across Victoria came together for the Junior State Championships in 2024! 🤩 A massive multi-day event in Bendigo & Shepparton, featuring equal teams of U12-U18 boys & girls, plus 300 coaches & officials
