HV Board Update 27.2.25

Published Thu 27 Mar 2025

Hockey Victoria (HV) Board & Management are pleased to provide an update with regards to the outcome of last night's Elected Director election, held as part of the 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM).

We can confirm that Angela Poxon has been re-elected to serve another three (3) year term on the Board of Directors.

Chair Tracey Drake and CEO Andrew Skillern took a moment to recognise the remarkable contributions of appointed directors Ellen Williamson and Harry Drakos who have both decided to step down from their positions on the Board.

Ellen Williamson was appointed in 2013 and served 12 years on the Board of Directors. She established the Risk & Governance Sub-Committee, played a pivotal role in the creation of H1, and assisted in the introduction of the National Integrity Framework (NIF), among many other key achievements.

Harry Drakos, appointed in 2019, served 6 years on the Board of Directors. He was a vital member of the Finance Sub-Committee and contributed significantly to the League Entry Criteria (LEC) working group.

HV expresses its gratitude for their dedication and the significant impact they made on the sport during their tenures.

Additionally, HV extends its appreciation to Raj Thangaraj and Chris Harper for expressing their interest in joining the Board of Directors, as well as Stephanie Mann, who withdrew her nomination late due to a change in personal circumstances. The organisation values their enthusiasm and willingness to contribute to the future of Hockey in Victoria.
