Get Back to Hockey with 6 Week Competitions

HV are offering an opportunities for players to take part in a condensed season of centralised competitions throughout Victoria. This is the perfect option for those who haven’t picked up a stick this year or who want to get on the field with some friends. All games will be played at one venue so you can pick a location close to your home.

Sunday Outdoor Competitions

The 6 weeks ‘Back to Hockey’ outdoor Hockey competitions will be played on Sundays with juniors in the morning between 9am and 12pm and senior 3pm and 6.30pm from Sunday 7 August through to Sunday 11 September.

The following competitions will be on offer.

Open Female (11 a-side)
Open Male (11 a-side)
Under 16 Mixed (7 a-side)
Under 14 Mixed (7 a-side)

These competitions will be held at centralised locations around Victoria to provide convenient and consistent access for participants, including:

South-East Melbourne

Southern United Hockey Club – Juniors & Women’s
Koonung Secondary College – Juniors & Men’s

North-West Melbourne

PEGS Hockey Grounds – Juniors, Women’s & Men’s

Regional Victoria

Shepparton - Juniors, Women’s & Men’s

All players must be registered with HV for insurance purposes, on a minimum of a 5 game-membership.

Indoor Hockey Competitions

The 6 weeks ‘Back to Hockey’ indoor hockey Competitions will run Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, from the 7^th of August – 17^th of September. All indoor competitions will be played at the Melbourne Sports Centres - Parkville.

The following age groups are on offer.

Open Female (Sunday)
Open Male (Sunday)
Under 16 Mixed (Sunday)
Under 14 Mixed (Sunday)

Open Mixed (Thursday)
Women’s 35+ (Tuesday)*

*Tuesday Over 35’s Woman’s Competition - Currently playing a term 2 competition, the Over 35’s Woman’s Competition will continue in term 3 commencing Tuesday 12 July. This competition will run longer than 6 weeks with finals dates to be confirmed

PLAYER REGISTRATION:

To be eligible for participation in this competition, players must have either the Back to Hockey Registration, or a HV Playing Registration.
