Attend the inaugural Men's Health Lunch

Tickets are now on sale for the inaugural Hockey Victoria Men’s Health Lunch which will kick off the Men’s Health Round. It is a great opportunity for the Hockey community to come together and not only increase awareness of Men’s Health matters, but also raise funds for the charity Movember. There will be some great guest speakers, chipping and putting challenges for prizes and a wonderful lunch.
The details of the event are as follows:
Date: Friday 18th August
Location: Greenfields (at Albert Park Golf Course – Lakeside Drive, Albert Park)
Time: 12.00pm – 3.00pm
Tickets
Individual tickets can be purchased for $85 per person or groups of six for $485.

There is no upfront cost when purchasing tickets, invoices will be sent closer to the Event.
Ticket sales will close 9.00am Friday 4th August, but please note that tickets are very limited, so get in fast if you would like to attend this Event.
Overview of the day
- 12.00pm - 1.00pm - guest can participate in a range of activities to win prizes, with all funds raised going to Movember. There will be canapes (e.g. sliders) served for guests to enjoy during this time.
- 1.00pm - Formalities begin - lunch is served & guest speakers commence
- 2.30pm - Lunch wraps up
- 2.30pm - 3.00pm - Guests can enjoy a final drink and network before departing
Guest Speakers
We are thrilled to announce that we have secured two wonderful guest speakers for the Event.
Dr Peter Brukner OAM
Peter is a world-renowned sports medicine physician and researcher and in 2006 he was awarded an Order of Australia (OAM) for services to Sports Medicine. He is currently a Professor of Sports Medicine at La Trobe University.
His two passions throughout his career have been sports medicine and more recently nutrition. He has been team doctor for numerous elite sporting teams, including Melbourne and Collingwood AFL teams, National Cricket, Swimming, Hockey, Athletics and Soccer teams as well as Liverpool Football Club in the English Premier League. This has seen him involved in some of the World’s Biggest sporting events including the Olympics, FIFA Football World Cup, Cricket World Cups and Ashes series. He has also been involved in community sport for most of his life, particularly hockey and football, serving on boards and being a team doctor.
More recently Peter has become interested in lifestyle issues and their relationship to health. In particular he is interested in the role of diet, especially a low carb diet, in both health and athletic performance. He is the founder and Chair of Sugar By Half campaign and has authored the popular book Fat Lot of Good .

Tony Dodemaide OAM
Tony Dodemaide played ten test matches for the Australian Cricket team, as well as twenty-four One Day Internationals, taking a five-wicket haul on both ODI and Test debut.
In 2021, he was appointed as a selector for the Australian Men’s Cricket team and is currently in England for the Ashes with the Australian Cricket Team.
He has an impressive list of achievements as a sport administrator too, including being the Head of Cricket at Marylebone Cricket Club, Chief Executive of Western Australian Cricket Association, Chief Executive of Cricket Victoria and the former General Manager of the Hockey One.
In 2022, Tony was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for service to sports administration and to cricket.
