2024 Junior State Championships preview

The 2024 U12-U16 Junior State Championships are just around the corner.

From the first week of July, the JSC returns to regional Victoria. 61 teams will split across two venues in Bendigo and Shepparton to play some incredible Hockey against their peers in each Zone.

Hockey Victoria are thrilled to be taking the Junior State Championships back to regional Victoria with the support of City of Greater Bendigo, Hockey Central Victoria, Greater Shepparton City Council and Goulbourn Valley Hockey Association.  

 

Event Fixtures & Results – U12 Hockey 5s

The U12 Hockey 5s JSC will push off at the Greater Shepparton Regional Sports Precinct on Wednesday, 3rd July 2024 through to Thursday, 4th July and see our younger cohort continue to develop on the Hockey5s fields.

All Under 12 fixtures, results and ladders will be available on Rev Sport. You can either access them by clicking on Comps & Events on the HV website, then Fixtures and Results or by clicking here (scroll to the bottom of the page).

Event Fixtures & Results – U14 & 16s

The U14s and U16s will begin on Friday, 5th July and go through to Sunday, 7th July across the Bendigo Regional Hockey Centre and Greater Shepparton Regional Sports Precinct. The U14 and U16 Boys will be hosted in Bendigo, and the U14 and U16 Girls will compete in Shepparton.

Live Streaming

In 2024, livestreaming of the JSC is hosted on the My Sport Live platform.

The one-off Event fee of $4.95 to watch the JSC will get you access across the whole event.

All matches on Pitch 1 on the final day of the event will be streamed live on My Sport Live.

·        U12 Livestreaming – Pitch 1, Field 1 on Thursday, 4th July (all medal matches)

·        U14 & U16 Boys Livestreaming – Pitch 1 at Bendigo on Sunday, 7th July (all medal matches)

·        U14 and U16 Girls Livestreaming – Pitch 1 at Shepparton on Sunday, 7th July (all medal matches)

 

Social Media & Photography

Hockey Victoria will provide regular updates through our social media channels, so be sure to keep an eye out for some great content and awesome photos on our Facebook, Instagram and Tik Tok.

Heading up to Bendigo or Shepparton?

Things to Do while in Greater Shepparton

Guests from the Greater Shepparton City Council Visitor Centre will pop down to the U12s JSC on the Wednesday, 3rd July and to the U14 and U16s JSC on Friday, 5th July to share some information on sites in Shepparton.

 

Just Hockey

Just Hockey will be trading out of both facilities in Shepparton and Bendigo for periods of the day.

Please drop in and visit the team if you are on the lookout or require any Hockey equipment.

 

Smoking Ceremony

As part of our celebrations leading into NAIDOC week, there will be a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony in both locations.

For Shepparton, the ceremony will be held at 1pm during the U12s on Wednesday, 3rd July and at 1.35pm for the U14 & U16 Girls on Friday, 5h July.

While in Bendigo, the ceremony will occur at 12.50pm for the U14 & U16 Boys on the Friday, 7th July.

We strongly encourage anyone at those venues at that time to gather around and participate.
