2023 Grassports Junior Country Championships preview
Published Thu 18 May 2023
The 2023 Grassports Junior Country Championships are set to take place on the 20th & 21st May. There will be a total of 53 teams competing in this year’s event, which is an increase of 8 teams on the 2022 numbers.
It is a fantastic opportunity for regional Victoria’s brightest talent to go head-to-head with teams from other Associations. All teams will play a series of round robin matches across the course of the weekend, before it all culminates on the Sunday afternoon with the Gold Medal Matches.
The Event will be held across three dual pitch venues, with Greensborough, Essendon and Melbourne Sports Centres Parkville playing host in 2023. A huge thank you to the three host venues for their tireless work in preparing for the Event.

Venue Information
For key venue information for all three of the venues, please click here.
It should be noted that there will be other sporting activities taking place at Melbourne Sports Centres Parkville over the weekend of the JCC. There is Netball taking place Saturday morning and then a Taekwondo event on Sunday. It is strongly recommended that you allow additional time for parking. If the car park is full, there is overflow parking available at the Zoo.
There will be 2 x food trucks in place out the front of Entry B (the one near the large round about) at MSC Parkville to reduce the burden on the café at the venue.
Essendon and Greensborough will have a range of great food and beverages available across the weekend.
