2022 Grassports Junior Country Championships Preview

The 2022 Grassports Junior Country Championships are set to take place on the 14^th & 15^th May. There will be a total of 44 teams competing in this year’s event, with teams from all corners of the state converging on Melbourne for the annual Event.

It is a fantastic opportunity for regional Victoria’s brightest talent to go head-to-head with teams from other Associations.  All teams will play a series of round robin matches across the course of the weekend, before it all culminates on the Sunday afternoon with the Gold Medal Matches.

The Event will be held across three dual pitch venues, with Greensborough, Footscray and the State Hockey Centre playing host in 2022. A huge thank you to the three host venues for their tireless work in preparing for the Event.

The fixtures for the Sunday cross-over and finals matches can be uploaded onto Rev Sport as soon as they are ready.

Live Streaming

We are thrilled to be able to live stream some of the matches being played on the Sunday at all three venues. The matches will be live streamed on the https://livehockey.com.au/.

It will only cost $3.99 to purchase a JCC pass that will give you access to all the matches we are streaming from the three venues.  

We will be live streaming all of the matches on the following pitches:

• State Hockey Centre (Pitch 1) – SUNDAY only
• Footscray Hockey Centre (Pitch 1) – SUNDAY only
• Greensborough Hockey Centre (Pitch 2) – SUNDAY only

Please click here to view a schedule of the matches. Following the conclusion of the pool matches, the teams will be decided for the cross-over and finals matches. 

To access the stream:

• Head to https://livehockey.com.au/
• Click the Sign in/Sign Up button in the top right corner of the page
• If you have an existing account, please sign in. If not, please press the sign-up button, enter your details and then press continue.
• Look for the Grassports Junior Country Championships tile on the website and click on it to view the matches.
• It is worth noting that the first match of the day (8.15am from the State Hockey Centre) is free of charge, but from then onwards you will need to purchase the $3.99 subscription to watch the remaining matches – you will be prompted to do this when you click on the matches.
