2020 Junior State Championships
In 2020 the eleventh edition of the Junior State Championships (in its current format) will take place in Regional Victoria. If you missed the announcement, further information is available here – https://hockeyvictoria.org.au/jsc-2020-to-be-hosted-in-regional-victoria/
This event is the pinnacle junior hockey event for all aspiring junior hockey players and officials in Victoria. Six metropolitan zones and four regional zones will compete in both boys and girls divisions for Under 13, 15 and 18.
What: 2020 Junior State Championships
When: Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th July, 2020 (*note the change away from the traditional Tuesday – Friday)
Where: Bendigo Regional Hockey Centre (All Girls Divisions) & Shepparton Hockey Centre (All Boys Divisions)
NOMINATIONS FOR PLAYERS AND COACHES WILL OPEN IN FEBRUARY.
2020 Zone Player Nominations – OPEN
As of Friday 21st February, Hockey Victoria will be accepting player nominations for the 2020 JSC Zone teams.
Please refer to the nomination link for your Zone for more specific information, such as cost of participating, trial details and FAQ’s. There are a small number of trial details that are still being finalised, but all trials will take place on either the 19th or 26th April.
It should be noted that all players that are selected in the 2020 Under 15 and Under 18 Victorian State and Development Teams will be granted an exemption which will see them automatically selected in their Zone team. They must still nominate for their Zone team though, otherwise they cannot be selected.
PLEASE NOTE: when completing the nomination, please ensure that you are logged in as the player that you wish to nominate.

Playing Shirt & Goalkeeper Smock Sizing Charts
In 2020, all JSC uniforms will be produced by GAME Clothing (the same supplier that manufacture the HV State Team Uniforms).
Those that have existing shorts, skorts and socks from the previous supplier can continue to use them. But those requiring new shorts, skorts and socks will need purchase them through GAME Clothing (further details provided once teams are selected).
All selected players receive a new playing shirt or Goalkeeper smock (as applicable) included in their fee to participate, these will all be produced by Game Clothing.

2020 Zone Coach Nominations – NOW OPEN
Hockey Victoria is currently seeking coaches for its 2020 Regional Zone teams that will participate in the Junior State Championships from Thursday 2nd July – Sunday 5th July 2020.
The 2020 Junior State Championships will be held in Shepparton for the BOYS teams and Bendigo for the GIRLS teams.
Coaches will be responsible for the delivery of team training sessions (traditionally 4-5 on a Sunday morning) and management of players throughout the 2020 Junior State Championships.
All Zone coaches should at minimum have their Level 1 Coaching Accreditation (or be working towards achieving it in 2020) and will receive a gratuity payment for fulfilling the role.
Coaches will be responsible for sourcing their own accommodation, should they require it.

All nominations will close at 10.00am on Monday 6th April and should there be sufficient suitable nominations, appointments will be made by 5.00pm Monday 13th April.
