In 2019, Hockey in Australia was reimagined and reinvented with the introduction of the country’s newest National sporting league – Hockey One.

For the first time in decades, top-class domestic hockey was played in front of packed crowds around the country.

Fans got to witness some of Australia’s top Kookaburras and Hockeyroos go head-to-head in massive double-header games every weekend between September and November. With all games broadcast live on Kayo and Fox Sports, it opened up the opportunity for regional fans to also support our team and follow the action.

HC Melbourne was established in early 2019 and is the only Victorian elite Men’s and Women’s hockey team in the Hockey One league. The Club is administered and resourced by Hockey Victoria, providing genuine links with the grassroots hockey community.

The 2024 Fixture has been released with the season opener kicking off on Friday, 11 October when HC Melbourne take on the Adelaide Fire in Adelaide.
