Registrations for this event are closed.
Hockey Victoria are now accepting nominations from eligible Men's Masters players for the 2021 State Teams to compete at the Australian Championships, Newcastle Region, September 23rd thru October 9th 2021.
IMPORTANT MESSAGE:
- Pre-Requisite for nomination is that players have current (2021) HV registration. Make sure that you are registered prior to continuing with this nomination.
- If you nominated in 2020 and paid the registration fee you are eligible to carry forward that fee to 2021. To redeem your credit simply use the code HVHPMASTERS in the discount code section of your nomination. Please note that we will me reconciling the use of this code against the 2020 nominee list. Please DO NOT use the code if you did not nominate in 2020.
Australian Masters Championships Dates & Location
In 2021 the Australian Masters Championships are to be held at Newcastle.
This will be a Mega Masters, a combine of the Men’s and Women’s championships held together at the one location. The games will be played at Newcastle, Maitland and Central Coast.
The planned playing date ranges for are:
- Over 34s, 40s, 45s - 23rd September – 2nd October 2021
- Over 50s, 55s, 60s, 65s, 70s & 75s - 29th September – 9th October 2021

Nomination Closing Dates
- Players:
- Over 60s, 65s, 70s & 75s – Close Monday 5th April 2021.
- Overs 45s, 50s & 55s – Close Monday 12th April 2021.
- Over 34s & 40s – Close Monday 26th April 2021.
Trial Dates and Times
All trials to be held at Footscray Hockey Centre.
- Trial 1 – Sunday 11th April 2021
- Over 60s – 10:00am-12:00pm.
- Over 65s – 8:00am-10:00am.
- Over 70s – 10:00am-12:00pm.
- Over 75s – 10:00am-12:00pm.
- Trial 2 – Sunday 18th April 2021
- Over 45s - 8:00am-10:00am.
- Over 50s – 10:00am-12:00pm.
- Over 55s - 8:00am-10:00am.
- Trial 3 – Sunday 2nd May 2020
- Over 34s - 8:00am-10:00am.
- Over 40s – 10:00am-12:00pm.

- Policy is to pick players in teams associated with their age group.
- Selectors to determine what age group players are selected.

When will teams be announced?
45s-75s Teams will be announced prior to April 30th.
34s-40s Teams will be announced by May 14th.
When can I try on uniforms for size?
Uniforms will be available for sizing on the trial day.
How do I order uniforms?

How do I book team accommodation?
You will receive a link to the accommodation request web page in your selection pack.
Accommodation requests must be completed within 7 days of the team announcement.
Who organises the travel to Championship location?
Each player is responsible for their own travel.
Who organises the ground travel at the Championship location?
Each team will work out the travel for their team.
Who organises meals at the Championship location?
Each player is responsible for their meals.
What are some of the costs involved in the tour?
PLAYER LEVY approximately$400, which covers:
Training expenses.
HAMC Levies, which includes Team Entries, Ground Hire and Umpires.
Team Management & Medical Support.
Accommodation (approximate only)
(Prices based on multi room apartments where all beds are allocated.)
34s-50s - $600-$1,000 per Shared Room OR $1,000-$1,700 per Own Room.
55s-75s - $900-$1,500 per Shared Room OR $1,500-$2,500 per Own Room.
Note: 1,2 or 3 bedroom apartments are available, contact Masters Coordinator for price and availability.
Misc
Flights, Team Kitty, Ground Transport & Food: Approximately $1,000-$1,500.
Uniform: $150 (basic outfit)
When do I meet the rest of the team?
A meeting will be held for each team 7-10 days after the team announcement.
The meeting times will be included in your selection pack.
This meeting will be used to:
- Meet your team manager.
- Meet your team mates.
- Finalise uniform orders.
- Finalise accommodation requests.
- Finalise administrative details.
