Draft Camp is a development program as well as a selection event to anyone who HAS NOT satisfied the selection criteria for automatic entry into the Hockey Victoria Academy.

Draft Camp is the ONLY entry point into the Academy for players who have not gained automatic entry through having represented Hockey Victoria in the relevant State Teams, click here to see how athletes qualify for automatic entry into The Academy, how entry into our academies work as well as more details about the academy program.

The Academy for 2020 has been put in place to give U13 Victorian athletes an opportunity to play train together given how much they have missed this year.

Age eligibility:  The athlete is 13 years or under on the 31st of December 11:59pm, 2020.  Therefore, if the athlete is turning 14 in 2020 then they are ineligible for this event. If you are unsure please contact us before registering.

The numbers selected from Draft Camp will be dependent on the numbers of athletes who have accepted their position in the Hockey Victoria Academy from the automatic selection process.

TIME: Girls Group 1: 8am-10am | Girls Group 2: 10:15am-12:15pm | Boys Group 1: 12:30pm-2:30pm | Boys Group 2: 2:45pm-4:45pm

LOCATION: STATE NETBALL & HOCKEY CENTRE, PARKVILLE

COST: $55

*Please note, due to COVID on-pitch restrictions we will be running the Draft Camp in four seperate groups.

*Once registrations are complete on Wednesday 11 November 12:00pm, you will be notified as to which group you are in, as well as all the details/protocols for the day i.e. arrival & departure times, sign-in protocols, on-pitch protocols, masks etc.
