Hockey Victoria are now accepting nominations from eligible Women's Masters players for the 2020 State Teams to compete at the Australian Championships being contested in the Nth Qld town of CAIRNS, July 1 - 11.
Nominations Close Friday March 6th.
TRIAL DATES, TIMES & KEY DATES
AGE ELIGIBILITY/CRITERIA
- Players are required to bring a white and a black t-shirt to a all trials - No coloured or grey.
- No State Rep or Australian uniforms items are to be worn.
- All players are required to arrive at trials 30 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time.

When will teams be announced?
Teams will be announced by 9thApril
Can I wear my uniform from previous years?
The official team uniform is as worn in 2019, supplied by GAME CLOTHING. All prior uniforms (i.e. Kukri) are now superceded.
When can I try on uniforms for size?
Uniforms will be available for sizing on the information day – Sunday 19th April

How do I order uniforms? And by when
A link will be provided to the online uniform shop.
Full instructions and HV State Uniform policy will be explained in the selection package.
Why are there no weekly trainings scheduled?
No weekly trainings have been scheduled as it is the middle of the season and players will already have club training and games (also saves costs and time for country players).
Instead all players must be in Cairns on Sunday the 28th June as all teams will have training scheduled for Monday June 29th & Tuesday June 30th – as per others states.
If coaches wish to arrange extra training, this will be at the cost of their team.
Who organises the flights to Cairns?
Each player is responsible for their own travel.
What are the accommodation arrangements in Cairns?
Our squad will be staying the Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort.
NOTE - sadly all self contained apartment accommodation has been booked out in Cairns.
Who organises the ground travel at the Gold Coast?
HV will organise people movers for each team.
Who organises meals whilst away?
Each player is responsible for their meals.
Breakfasts are provided as part of the accommodation
What are some of the costs involved?
Estimated team costs will be approximately $2300 per player.
The team costs include team entry, all training sessions, vehicle transport and accommodation at in Cairns from Sunday 28thJune to departure on Sunday 12thJuly inclusive.
Estimated personal costs for meals, uniform, flights & any other incidentals are estimated at approximately $1000-1500.
All players must be financial with Hockey Victoria’s Invoicing, Fee Collection & Suspension Policy to be eligible for these teams.
When do I meet the rest of the team?
A meeting will be held for each team on Sunday 19 April.
The meeting times will be included in your selection pack.
This meeting will be used to:
- Meet your team manager.
- Meet your team mates.
- Session on the pitch under guidance of coach.
Conflicting Commitments
Players with known conflicting commitments including other sports, work and/or holidays should put this in writing to State Teams Manager, James McCallum jmccallum@hockeyvictoria.org.au prior to the Final Player Assessments commencing.
