Hockey Victoria are now accepting nominations from eligible members for selection in its 2024/2025 Indoor State Teams, scheduled to contest the 2024/2025 Australian Indoor Hockey Championships.

Final Player Assessment Information
1. All players are required to bring a white and a black T-Shirt to the Player Assessments, (Grey is neither). 
2. All players are required to arrive to the assessments 15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time

3. Players are permitted to nominate and be selected in multiple age divisions. 
4. Hockey Victoria will NOT be providing feedback to players who are not selected in a state team.

5. It is HIGHLY recommended that nominees attend both trial sessions in order to give themselves the very best opportunity to be selected.

6. Hockey Victoria reserves the right to eliminate nominees from the selection process following the first trial session.

AGE ELIGIBILITY

What are the DOB paremters for each AGE DIVISION:

• The Indoor season is defined as the beginning of October in one year to the end of February in the next year.
• The 2024-25 Indoor Season will commence in 1 October 2024 and conclude on 28 February 2025.
  • If the competition is an Under 21 competition, a player shall be defined as a player who is 21 years of age and under on December 31 in the year the indoor season commences. Therefore any athlete born on or after 1 January 2003.
  • If the competition is an Under 18 junior competition, a junior player shall be defined as a player who is 18 years of age and under on December 31 in the year the indoor season commences. Therefore any athlete born on or after 1 January 2006.
  • If the competition is an Under 16 junior competition, a junior player shall be defined as a player who is 16 years of age and under on December 31 in the year the indoor season commences. Therefore any athlete born on or after 1 January 2008.
  • If the competition is an Under 14 junior competition, a junior player shall be defined as a player who is 14 years of age and under on December 31 in the year the indoor season commences. Therefore any athlete born on or after 1 January 2010.

• NOTE - selected players will be required to arrive in Canberra on the day immediately preceding respective tournament commencement date (refer above).
  • We will be organising team travel to and from the event, however athletes do have the option to OPT OUT via this nomination process.
• NOTE - Teams will be staying in shared, appartment style accommodation with CHECK-INN the day immediately prior the teams official day 1.  CHECK-OUT will be on the same day each respective division concludes.

Financial Commitment
Selected players will be invoiced approx - $tba

The team costs include team equalisation, all training sessions, vehicle transport, flights, meals, physio equipment and accommodation etc.  All players must read and agree to Hockey Victoria’s Invoicing, Fee Collection & Suspension Policy to be eligible for these teams.
