Hockey Victoria are now accepting nominations from eligible Country Registered players for the 2023 Country State Teams to compete at the National Country Championships in Shapparton, VIC, August 5-12 2023. 

Senior Country Player Assessment Days    

Assessment 1:

Sunday 14th May 

 - MEN (7:45am arrival) Session runs from 8am - 9:30am

 - WOMEN (9:15am arrival) Session runs from 9:30am - 11:30am

Melbourne Sports Centre - PARKVILLE (P1) - Brens Drive, Parkville, VIC 3052

Assessment 2:

Sunday 28th May

 - MEN & WOMEN arrive at 8:45am.  Session to run from 9am-11:15am

Bendigo Hockey Complex - Ashley Street, Bendigo, Vic, 3550

Final Player Assessment Information

1. All players are required to bring a white and a black T-Shirt to the Player Assessments (grey is neither white or black)
2. All players are required to arrive to the assessments 15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time.
3. Players must be registered HV members and be playing in regional competition (as per HA particpation regulations).
4. All squad members are expected to participate in the Senior Country Championships played over the Kings Birthday Weekend in June.

$45 nomination fee applies

Financial Commitment

Selected players will be invoiced approx - $1,500 - $1,900

The team costs include team equalisation, all training sessions, vehicle transport, flights, meals, physio equipment and accommodation etc.  

NOTE - the teams will be traveling together.  This includes group air travel that will be coordinated by Hockey Victoria.  This is different to past country tours where we have permitted players to make their own way to an event.  Given the remote location of this tournament all squad travel arrangements have been pre-booked by HV.

Conflicting Commitments
