Hockey Victoria are now accepting nominations from eligible Country Registered players for the 2021 Country State Teams to compete at the National Country Championships in Albany WA, August 7-14th 2021. 

Senior Country Player Assessment Days    

Assessment 1:

Sunday 22nd May (WOMEN & MEN 8:30am arrival. Session runs from 9am - 11am)

Bendigo Hockey Complex - Ashley Street, Bendigo, Vic, 3550

Assessment 2:

Sunday 5th June (MEN 8:30am - 10:15am,  WOMEN 10:30am - 12pm)

State Netball Hockey Centre (P1) - Brens Drive, Parkville, VIC 3052

Final Player Assessment Information

1. All players are required to bring a white and a black T-Shirt to the Player Assessments. 
2. All players are required to arrive to the assessments 15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time.
3. Players must be registered HV members and be playing in regional competition (as per HA particpation regulations).
4. All squad members are expected to participate in the Senior Country Championships played over the Queens Birthday Weekend in June.

$45 nomination fee applies

Financial Commitment

Selected players will be invoiced approx - $3000

The team costs include team equalisation, all training sessions, vehicle transport, flights, meals, physio equipment and accommodation etc.  

NOTE - the teams will be traveling together.  This includes group air travel that will be coordinated by Hockey Victoria.  This is different to past country tours where we have permitted players to make their own way to an event.  Given the remote location of this tournament all squad travel arrangements have been pre-booked by HV.

Conflicting Commitments

Players with known conflicting commitments including other sports, work and/or holidays should put this in writing to State Teams Manager, James McCallum jmccallum@hockeyvictoria.org.au prior to the Final Player Assessments commencing.
