The Hockey Victoria GK and GK Specialized Skills Development Program is set to run across four Sundays in May/June. The sessions will be 1.5 hours each starting at 9:30am.

o    8:00am – 9:30am – U16 goalkeepers, goalscorers 
o    9:30am – 11:00am – 16+ goalkeepers, goalscorers
-    Sunday 8th of May
o    8:00am – 9:30am – U16 goalkeepers, goal scorers  
o    9:30am – 11:00am – 16+ goalkeepers, goalscorers 

-    Sunday 22nd of May
o    8:00am – 9:30am – U16 goalkeepers, goalscorers 
o    9:30am – 11:00am – 16+ goalkeepers, goalscorers
-    Sunday 5th of June
o    8:00am – 9:30am – U16 goalkeepers, goalscorers 
o    9:30am – 11:00am – 16+ goalkeepers, goalscorers

Goalkeepers - Registrations are now open for 16 goalkeepers

We do ask that all Goalkeepers wishing to attend the program have at least participated in previous High Performance Academy Programs, Represented Victoria in a National Championship, have been selected to participate in the Junior State Championship OR have at least two years of PL, PLR or U18 playing experience as this is not an entry level program.

The program will involve a range of skills consisting of, aerial saves, kicking drills, footwork and circle movement, close range saves, diving and sliding, defending penalty corners. 

The goalkeeping program will be run by HV Education & Pathways Coordinator and experience GK coach Mili Arrotea. Goalkeepers will be coached by our Hockey Victoria Academy Goalkeeper Coaches, Emerging Goalkeeper Coaches, many of which are current or former Victorian representatives at U21 or Hockey One level and have coached in numerous Hockey Victoria High Performance programs.

 

Goalscorers - Registrations are now open for 16 field players

We do ask that all field players wishing to attend the program have at least participated in previous High Performance Academy Programs, Represented Victoria in a National Championship and\or been selected to participate in 2022 Junior State Championship OR have at least two years of PL, PRR or U18 playing experience as this is not an entry level program.

The program will involve a range of goalscoring skills consisting of a variety of shots (forehand, backhand, deflections, first touch, areal) in different areas of the circle.

The Goalscoring program will be run by 3 time Olympian Phil Burrows. Players will be coached by our Hockey Victoria Academy Coaches, Emerging Coaches, many of which are current or former Victorian representatives at U21 or Hockey One level and have coached in numerous Hockey Victoria High Performance programs.
